Sectional garage doors are designed to protect the contents behind them while still maintaining a look of beauty; they are strength and beauty in a functional garage door.
A sectional garage door will not go from end to end or side to side of the opening at any point in the operation of the garage door and operates vertically, they are extremely versatile and will work were a traditional 'up-and-down' garage door will not work, even in an arched garage doorway.
The door is made up of panels or sections and each one is unbelievable strong with a double skin design of high strength galvanized steel which encases a rigid layer of eco-friendly foam insulation.
Standard to the top of the steel frame and sides is a rubber sealing strip with an additional rubber density seal attached to the bottom of the sectional garage doors to prevent dirt, leaves, wind, rain and other unwanted debris from entering the garage.
A sectional door has a large operational movement to make sure good quality clearance during operations of lifting and lowering and this helps use the maximum length of the garage. The height and width are also maximized when the sectional door is up in the air.
The sectional doors are designed with safety in mind with the multiple spring tension system which makes for a very smooth transition from open to close or close to open of this stylish door. This sectional door also boasts several safety features including exterior and interior finger protection which prevents fingers from getting smashed or cut even in the most dangerous or narrow of openings in the door. There is also a hand protection system at the sides, near the guide rails helping to prevent accidents between the guide rails and the frame.
Security is standard on all sectional doors with the multi-latch two point locking system on most models along with an optional bolt on the manually operated garage doors. Galvanized, wear-resistant hinges makes the interlocking door panel section super secure. They also come with quadruple folded steel located on all the fixed hinging points for a solid attachment of the panel sections to the hinges.
Multiple spring support and twin cables on either side help to hold up the door in a doubtful incident of a cable or spring failure. What this means is that the door is supported on both sides and can not be lifted or lowered and will not drop. Additionally, the hinges and springs are well out of the reach of anyone's fingers and enclosed in small trays for added safety.
Some of the newer models of the sectional garage doors contain a inferred 'eye' which will detect objects in the path of the opening or closing door and immediately reverse the door to open it so it will not hit whatever is in it's path or stop it all together. A dog or child could run under a sectional garage door as it is deploying downward and this is dangerous if the door is not 'smart' enough to stop and that's just what it is with the added protection of the inferred 'eye' in place.
