Automatic Sequential Gear Box
For many drivers, to decide the way in which the car’s gearbox moves their car is as valuable as the ability to select a completely automatic mode and forget about change. Sequential Automatic changes are the perfect symbiosis of the comfort and pleasure offered by automatic driving. The selector lever is the same as that of a conventional automatic transmission to which a second lane is added, usually the height of the "D" position on the gears to take it and make the changes manually. While the gear does not slip into this position by default, a soft push whit ones hand and the gear assembly clicks into place allowing control of the car. Though most of these control movements are transverse, there are some car brands in which the movements are transverse rather than longitudinal.
The control of the car however, is not absolute. In manual mode, if the engine speed exceeds the recommended limits (both above and below), the cars onboard CPU engages the appropriate speed, thus protecting the gear assembly mechanics. The same applies if the driver attempts put the car in a gear that is either too long or too short; the system does not buckle and responds and corrects the adjustments by itself. To avoid clashes between the driving style and parameters of the computer, most of the boxes sequentially incorporate several application programs.
This type of change is attributed more to modern mechanics than to the traditional automatic schema of things, it allows more possibilities for use and can even cope with some buttons on the steering wheel or cam without the driver having to separate his hands. Continuing the example of the Ford Fiesta, the benefits of this type of change are obvious when comparing official data from 1.4 to 80 bhp.
