The air intake system is part of an automobile's internal combustion engine system, functioning as an air pump of powerful force. An automobile's air intake system functions by increasing the air velocity until it is able to travel into the vehicle's combustion chamber. Simultaneously, it minimizes the restriction of flow and turbulence. The air intake tests the airflow on a car's flow bench during the stage of port design.
