When splitting logs on the farm, a 3 point hitch log splitter is the tool to have. This tool can split logs fast saving you a lot of time. One of the best ways to get timber ready to split is to cut it into pieces that are easy for you to handle. Make sure to keep up on maintaining your equipment. Always use safety gear when operating any tools or machinery.
Using a 3 point hitch log splitter on the farm will make your day go a lot faster. Being able to bring your equipment to a location with ease is a preferred way of doing things. This is easy to do because the log splitter attaches to your tractors 3 point hitch. So wherever your tractor can go you can bring the wood splitter with you. This can be good if the location of timber is on the other side of the farm.
With little practice this device can safely split logs faster than doing it any other way. While this machine does all the hard work all you need to do is stack your split wood and load new logs to split. This will allow you to have more time and be able to get other things done. There is no more need to tire yourself out swinging an axe all day when you have this 3 point hitch wood splitter.
One of the best ways for getting your logs ready to split is to make the logs smaller in length so that they are easier to carry and load. By doing this you can manage the logs better by putting less strain on your body making your day more productive.
A lot of people use a bow saw or chain saw when preparing timber for splitting. Find what length of log you can put into your particular log splitter by checking the safety and operating manual or by measuring the distance between the log splitter blade and the plate that pushes the log.
Every time you plan on using machinery make sure to inspect it thoroughly to make sure everything is in proper working order. When using this product only use it as described in the owners guide. This will keep your investment working at its best.
Always check the manual for storing your 3 point hitch log splitter and the proper ways to use it. Most log splitters require minimal care to keep it up to the manufacturers specifications. The better you take care of your wood splitter the longer it will last you.
Use safety first when it comes to any type of work. Anytime you use tools or machinery make sure to read the manufacturers guide to see what types of protection it suggests to use. On a 3 point hitch log splitter you should were eye protection every time it is in use. Also a good pair of gloves is preferred by most people to protect their hands from splinters. Keep in mind at all times this is a powerful machine and to use it according to the way the manual specifies.
