In 1909, before making cars and motorcycles Suzuki began as a silk company. After 30 years, it grew to what it is famous today - making cars, motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles and marine engines and ranked as the 9th largest car manufacturer in the world.
As a maker of marine engines, Suzuki has created a name in itself for offering the largest all four-stroke Outboard engine line up. They have a wide selection of outboard motors including Portables ranging from 2.5 to 25 HP; DF 40 to 175 series featuring electronic fuel injection (EFI); a 3.6L V-6 200 to 250 HP series; a dual overhead cam (DOHC) DF 250 sport 4-stroke (SS); and a V-6 DF 300.
In each Suzuki vehicle, customer happiness has always been thought of. In 2009, it is ranked third in Outboard EFI four-stroke engine manufacturer category, according to the Marine Engine Competitive. Suzuki has launched the all-new Suzuki Outboard engine DF60 for the year 2010. It's a 3-cylinder motor with a dual overhead cam, featuring a simplified lightweight and compact style. In addition, it comprises EFI plus maintenance free timing chain.
A Suzuki owner's manual also includes skill level ratings (1-4 wrenches) based upon the degree of difficulty together with Special Tool icons where an OEM or electronic testing tool is required to perform the specified proceure. In the manual, just about everything you need to make your Suzuki Outboard brand-new again.
