Everyone has to learn how to drive a manual car to enable you to get yourself a driving license. So, before you go for your car driving lessons at the driving centers, it is good if you can read up some several important notes on how to drive a manual car to familiarize yourself on the basic driving steps.
First, when you get into the car, make sure you check these basic three things; seat, mirrors and seat belt. So, first, adjust your seat accordingly. Make sure your legs are able to reach the pedals and comfortable. Then adjust the side and rear mirrors. After that, put on your seat belt.
Then, identify all the pedals. The most right is the accelerator pedal, followed by the brake pedal at the middle and at the most left is your clutch pedal. Use only your left leg to control the clutch pedal and your right leg to control the accelerator pedal and brake pedal. Do not confuse yourself as this might be dangerous when you are in emergency if you accidentally press the wrong pedal with wrong leg.
For a manual car, it is important to play with your clutch pedal. Clutch is used to allow you to change gear and it protects the gear teeth from being scratched. Now, if you want to start your car, make sure the gear is in neutral position. Then, press the clutch pedal fully to shift the gear into gear 1. Release your handbrake and clutch partially and you will feel that your car is being pulled from moving forward. Now, press your accelerator slowly and at the same time disengage the clutch to move your car.
Remember to shift your gear accordingly or else it will drag and spoil your car engine. A good indication to change your car gear is by looking at the revolution per minute (RPM) value. You must shift into a higher gear when the RPM reaches 2500 to 3500.
Now to stop your car, release the accelerator pedal and press the brake pedal. At the same time press your clutch to change the gear into neutral position again. Now that you have known these, it will be much easier for you when you are attending your car driving lessons. Remember to pay full attention while driving on the road!

Gear $78.07 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles A gear is a rotating machine part having cut teeth, or cogs, which mesh with another toothed part in order to transmit torque. Two or more gears working in tandem are called a transmission and can produce a mechanical advantage through a gear ratio and thus may be considered a simple machine. Geared devices can change the speed, magnitude, and direction of a power source. The most common situation is for a gear to mesh with another gear, however a gear can also mesh a nonrotating toothed part, thereby producing translation instead of rotation. The gears in a transmission are analogous to the wheels in a pulley. An advantage of gears is that the teeth of a gear prevent slipping. When two gears of unequal number of teeth are combined a mechanical advantage is produced, with both the rotational speeds and the torques of the two gears differing in a simple relationship. In transmissions which offer multiple gear ratios, such as bicycles and cars, the term gear, as in first gear, refers to a gear ratio rather than an actual physical gear.
