Anything made in luxurious leather would be worth enough to keep for years and years to come. Whether it's a piece of furniture or clothing, leather items are as valuable as their pricey tags so you should learn to keep them clean to keep them for longer periods of time.
How to clean leather stains? The answer depends on the kind of stain and the kind of items we are dealing with.
In case of dust on your leather furniture, you need to do nothing more than just simple dusting once every week. A piece clean of cloth can do the deed. If you want your furniture to smell as good as it looks, you can use a mild soap solution once a month with your piece of cloth. Finish the soap off with a dry cloth. There's no need to use water.
How to clean leather stains if the stain is as unruly as ink? Well, some alcohol can do. Soak a piece of cloth into alcohol, then wipe the ink gently off the leather. Alcohol easily dries out and evaporates so there's no need to do anything more after the stain's gone. If in case the ink stain is deep, you can use some cuticle remover instead of alcohol. Just make sure that the product you are using is non-oil and non-gel based. Put some cuticle remover onto the ink-stricken area, leave for a couple of hours, then wipe with a moistened piece of cloth.
How to clean leather stains that are greasy? Water is ineffective in such a case. Since grease does not react to grease, you must not use it and instead, find a clean piece of cloth and wipe the grease. The stains will disappear in time.
When cleaning leather stains, make sure that you are using only mild solutions along with a piece of cloth. Do not use ammonia water, polish oil, abrasive cleaners, and even varnish. Those products can seriously damage the health of your leather. Aside from soft cloth, which is ideally the best choice of a cleaning aid, you may also resort to sponge. Leather cleaning solutions that are widely available in the market can be used also. But test it on a non-visible area first to ensure that it will not cause discoloration.
